                        A RESOLUTION
        Honoring Kent State University Flying Flashes team 52
           on winning a 2024 Air Race Classic Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Kent State University    2
Flying Flashes team 52 as the 2024 Air Race Classic Champion in the      3
intercollegiate class; and                                               4
     WHEREAS, All those associated with Kent State University Flying     5
Flashes team 52 are deserving of praise for their ability to excel in    6
many pursuits and to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence.     7
Under the guidance of their advisors, Brian Neff and Carissa Neff,       8
members Peyton Turner and Alyssa Sheehan devoted countless hours to      9
academics and rigorous training in order to be in peak mental            10
condition, and consequently, they won first place in the                 11
intercollegiate class and first place for the overall fastest Women in   12
Aviation International team at the 47th annual Air Race Classic, the     13
third consecutive year that a KSU squad has secured such a title; and    14
     WHEREAS, Competitive spirit and innovative effort have played       15
major roles in the development of our country. The drive to excel is     16
best developed when academicians are presented with trials that permit   17
them to test their skills, knowledge, and strengths against their        18
peers, and the members of Kent State University Flying Flashes team 52   19
are no exception; and                                                    20
     WHEREAS, With their vitality, intelligence, and positive outlook,   21
the members of Kent State University Flying Flashes team 52 have set     22
an example worthy of commendation. We encourage these fine individuals   23
to continue to strive for excellence so that they may assume a           24
meaningful and productive role in our complex society; therefore be it   25

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           27
recognize Kent State University Flying Flashes team 52 on its Air Race     28
Classic Championship and salute its members and instructors as             29
remarkable citizens; and be it further                                     30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kent State University      32
Flying Flashes team 52.                                                    33
