                       A RESOLUTION
                 In memory of Michael D. Kalinich, Sr.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are deeply saddened to learn of the death of    2
Michael D. Kalinich, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his      3
family and friends; and                                                  4
     WHEREAS, Michael Kalinich left an indelible impression on the       5
people whose lives he touched, and he will be remembered as a spirited   6
individual who contributed immeasurably to the world around him. Among   7
his endeavors, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, the         8
president of the Strongsville Savings Bank Board and Chamber of          9
Commerce, a member of the Southwest General Hospital Board and the       10
Strongsville City Club, and the chairman of the Strongsville             11
Homecoming, and he was respected by many as an entrepreneur and a        12
pillar of his community; and                                             13
     WHEREAS, A loving husband to his wife, Erma, a devoted father to    14
his children, Michael, Cynthia, and Kimberly, and a doting grandfather   15
to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Michael Kalinich      16
gave of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required     17
or expected, and the laurels of his life stand as a tribute not only     18
to him but also to those he left behind. Although the void his death     19
has created can never be filled, the legacy of care and commitment he    20
established will surely live on; and                                     21
     WHEREAS, Michael Kalinich’s concern for improving the quality of    22
life in our society was clearly evident in his devotion to his family,   23
friends, and hometown, and he displayed exceptional dedication and       24
insight in all of his endeavors. It is certain that the world is a       25
richer place for his having been in it, and he will be sorely missed;    26
therefore be it                                                          27

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     28
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, mourn     29
the loss and salute the memory of a truly unique man, Michael D.           30
Kalinich, Sr.; and be it further                                           31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Michael      33
D. Kalinich, Sr.                                                           34
