A RESOLUTION
Honoring Whitmer High School
on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Whitmer High 2
School on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; 3
and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 5
tribute to Whitmer High School, for since it opened in 1924, it has 6
played an instrumental role in the success of Washington Local 7
Schools. Throughout the school’s history, it has changed and updated 8
its facilities to better meet the needs of the grades housed within 9
it, and it has never experienced a shortage of able instructors, 10
efficient administrators, or diligent pupils who could be relied upon 11
to nurture and enrich each other; and 12
WHEREAS, We are certain that in the years to come, the instructors 13
and administrators of Whitmer High School will maintain their 14
unfaltering dedication to helping students become capable, well- 15
rounded individuals. As they take part in this celebration, the 16
school’s students, staff, and alumni can be justly proud of this fine 17
institution; and 18
WHEREAS, Education is vital to our nation’s continued economic and 19
social well-being, and as the need for global learning and 20
understanding increases, so do the demands placed upon our system of 21
education. Whitmer High School has consistently and effectively met 22
these challenges, and it is truly deserving of high praise; therefore 23
be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25

As Offered
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 26
commend Whitmer High School on its One Hundredth Anniversary and 27
extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Whitmer High School. 30
