                       A RESOLUTION
    Honoring Dakota Hessoun on winning first place in the women’s
   senior/varsity division at the 2024 SCTP National Championships.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Dakota Hessoun as   2
a 2024 Scholastic Clay Target Program National champion; and             3
     WHEREAS, A member of the Lorain County Youth Trap team, Dakota      4
Hessoun is deserving of recognition for her exemplary accomplishments    5
in the sport of trap shooting. A diligent and capable individual, she    6
shot an outstanding 198 of 200 clay pigeons to win the title for the     7
women’s senior/varsity competition at this year’s SCTP National          8
Championships. Indeed, her noteworthy record of personal achievement     9
stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and                          10
     WHEREAS, Through her participation in sports, Dakota Hessoun has    11
learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and    12
good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her      13
throughout her life. She has inspired countless individuals to excel     14
in various areas of endeavor, and her outstanding efforts have set an    15
example worthy of the highest praise; and                                16
     WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of     17
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards   18
of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable         19
educational tool. With sports playing such an important part in the      20
development of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay         21
tribute to such a fine competitor as Dakota Hessoun; therefore be it     22
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of   23
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,         24
commend Dakota Hessoun on her national championship and offer best       25

wishes for ongoing success; and be it further                              26
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     27
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dakota Hessoun.            28
