                       A RESOLUTION
              Honoring St. George Serbian Orthodox Church
                          on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to    2
St. George Serbian Orthodox Church on its One Hundredth Anniversary,     3
celebrated October 12-13, 2024; and                                      4
     WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1924, St. George Serbian Orthodox   5
Church has offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life     6
by illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the church was   7
founded. The spirit of love and fellowship that exists within the        8
church also extends beyond those sacred walls to touch the lives of      9
everyone encountered by its devout disciples; and                        10
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its priest, The Reverend   11
Hieromonk Nektarije Tesanovic, St. George Serbian Orthodox Church has    12
experienced growth and has provided a source of moral guidance and       13
spiritual motivation for its congregation. Over the years, the church    14
has enhanced the quality of life within the Lorain area, and through     15
its generous efforts, it has earned the gratitude and respect of the     16
many citizens it has so capably served; and                              17
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that    18
represents the dedication and commitment of the members of St. George    19
Serbian Orthodox Church. For a century, they have kept their faith       20
alive in the Lorain community, and on this special anniversary, they     21
have accepted the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future;   22
therefore be it                                                          23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of   24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,         25

commend St. George Serbian Orthodox Church on its One Hundredth            26
Anniversary and pay tribute to all those joining in the celebration of     27
this joyous event; and be it further                                       28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to St. George Serbian         30
Orthodox Church.                                                           31
