                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Thomas Worthington High School girls water
              polo team on winning the 2024 State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to commend the Thomas Worthington High School        2
girls water polo team as the 2024 State Champion; and                    3
     WHEREAS, The Thomas Worthington High School girls water polo team   4
has proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and has       5
gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for the spirited and      6
highly motivated performance of its members. Throughout the season,      7
the athletes worked diligently to improve their skills in the pool,      8
and as a result, the Cardinals accomplished their goals, bringing home   9
this year’s state championship, their second such title in program       10
history; and                                                             11
     WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined team, the Thomas          12
Worthington Cardinals have developed into a remarkably efficient group   13
of players whose skill is equaled only by their exemplary display of     14
teamwork. They are a credit not only to their families and their         15
school but also to the superb leadership of their coach, Olivia          16
Miranda; and                                                             17
     WHEREAS, The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring          18
ability, endurance, and a positive attitude on the part of players and   19
coaches alike. The members of the Thomas Worthington High School girls   20
water polo team have exemplified the characteristics that are            21
essential for success both in and out of competition, including          22
courage, discipline, integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their        23
efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who have            24
witnessed these outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it          25

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Thomas           27
Worthington High School girls water polo team on its 2024 State            28
Championship and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it       29
further                                                                    30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Thomas Worthington High       32
School girls water polo team.                                              33
