A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Thomas Worthington High School field hockey team
as the 2024 Division I State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Thomas 2
Worthington High School field hockey team on securing the 2024 3
Division I State Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented Thomas Worthington High School field hockey 5
team is, indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning the 6
Division I State Championship title for a third consecutive year. The 7
squad’s performance reflects the outstanding collective effort by a 8
gifted group of athletes, and without exception, the team has devoted 9
countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak 10
conditioning. Clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome 11
dividends; and 12
WHEREAS, The members of the Thomas Worthington High School field 13
hockey team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that befit 14
true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have 15
consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting 16
strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. 17
Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating 18
their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and 19
finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most 20
formidable rivals; and 21
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 22
host of adversaries, the members of the Thomas Worthington High School 23
field hockey team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, 24
leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of 25
their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit 26

has made their families, friends, and coach incredibly proud; 27
therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
applaud the Thomas Worthington High School field hockey team on its 31
brilliant 2024 season and wish its members continued success in all of 32
their future endeavors; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Thomas Worthington 35
High School field hockey team. 36
