A RESOLUTION
Honoring Hilltop Church of God
on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
Hilltop Church of God on its One Hundredth Anniversary; and 3
WHEREAS, Since its establishment in 1924, Hilltop Church of God 4
has offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life by 5
illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the church was 6
founded. The spirit of love and fellowship that exists within the 7
church also extends beyond those sacred walls to touch the lives of 8
everyone encountered by its devout disciples; and 9
WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, Hilltop 10
Church of God has experienced growth and has provided a source of 11
moral guidance and spiritual motivation for its congregation. Over the 12
years, the church has enhanced the quality of life within the Greater 13
Columbus area, and through its generous efforts, it has earned the 14
gratitude and respect of the many citizens it has so capably served; 15
and 16
WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that 17
represents the dedication and commitment of the members of Hilltop 18
Church of God. For a century, they have kept their faith alive in the 19
Central Ohio community, and on this special anniversary, they have 20
accepted the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future; 21
therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 23
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 24
commend Hilltop Church of God on its One Hundredth Anniversary and pay 25

tribute to all those joining in the celebration of this joyous event; 26
and be it further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hilltop Church of God. 29
