A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Thomas Worthington High School girls water polo team
as the 2024 State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to celebrate the Thomas 2
Worthington High School girls water polo team on winning the 2024 3
State Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented Thomas Worthington High School girls water 5
polo team is, indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning 6
this year’s State Championship. The squad’s performance reflects the 7
outstanding collective effort by a gifted group of athletes, and 8
without exception, the team has devoted countless hours to training 9
and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this 10
demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and 11
WHEREAS, The members of the Thomas Worthington High School girls 12
water polo team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that 13
befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have 14
consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting 15
strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. 16
Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating 17
their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and 18
finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most 19
formidable rivals; and 20
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 21
host of adversaries, the members of the Thomas Worthington High School 22
girls water polo team have learned much about dedication, self- 23
discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is 24
a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their 25
indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coaches 26

incredibly proud; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 28
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 29
applaud the Thomas Worthington High School girls water polo team on 30
its brilliant 2024 season and wish its members continued success in 31
all of their future endeavors; and be it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 33
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Thomas Worthington 34
High School girls water polo team. 35
