                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Lancaster High School girls cross country
              team on winning the 2024 Division I State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Lancaster High School girls cross   2
country team as the 2024 Division I State Champion; and                  3
     WHEREAS, The members of the Lancaster High School girls cross       4
country team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to   5
be truly exceptional competitors. During the 2024 season, the Golden     6
Gales advanced to the Division I State Championship, where they          7
compiled 114 points to win the crown. The unwavering commitment of the   8
runners and coaches has earned them the esteem of many, and they are     9
certainly deserving of high praise; and                                  10
     WHEREAS, Coach Teresa Tripp has demonstrated remarkable energy,     11
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Lancaster High School girls    12
cross country team to victory, and her skill is reflected in the         13
squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to her tireless         14
efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the course, and    15
she has received respect and admiration from all who know her; and       16
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future    17
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and    18
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has     19
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the     20
Lancaster High School girls cross country team have gained discipline    21
and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;      22
therefore be it                                                          23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the        25

As Introduced
Lancaster High School girls cross country team as the 2024 Division I         26
State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of          27
this fine squad; and be it further                                            28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                   29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Lancaster High School            30
girls cross country team.                                                     31
