                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Madeira High School girls soccer team on
              winning the 2024 Division V State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Madeira High School girls        2
soccer team as the 2024 Division V State Champion; and                   3
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the   4
Madeira High School girls soccer team have established themselves as     5
truly exceptional competitors by combining talent and spirit with the    6
highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, the     7
Mustangs have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency    8
in soccer, and as a result, they defeated a tough Chippewa team by the   9
score of 3-0 to win this year’s Division V State Championship, their     10
second such title in program history, and finished the season with an    11
impressive 20-1-2 record; and                                            12
     WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Madeira High        13
School girls soccer team are a justifiable source of pride and an        14
excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school        15
community, and their head coach, Dan Brady. Indeed, in leading the       16
team to victory, Coach Brady has helped these athletes to develop        17
great talent by instilling the valuable lessons of determination,        18
perseverance, and camaraderie; and                                       19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   20
in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay        21
tribute to the exemplary athletes and the outstanding coaches of the     22
Madeira High School girls soccer team for a job well done. The           23
maturity and experience the team members have gained through their       24
participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the             25
challenges of the future; therefore be it                                26

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Madeira         28
High School girls soccer team on its tremendous 2024 season and salute     29
the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it       30
further                                                                    31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Madeira High School girls     33
soccer team.                                                               34
