                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Fairfield Union High School boys cross
              country team on winning the 2024 Division II State
              Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Fairfield Union High School boys     2
cross country team as the 2024 Division II State Champion; and            3
     WHEREAS, The members of the Fairfield Union High School boys cross   4
country team have been exemplary athletes throughout the 2024 season,     5
and the Falcons compiled 88 points to win the Division II State           6
Championship. The unwavering commitment of the runners and coach has      7
earned them the esteem of many, and they are certainly deserving of       8
high praise; and                                                          9
     WHEREAS, Coach Rob Myers has demonstrated remarkable energy,         10
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Fairfield Union High School     11
boys cross country team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the     12
squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless          13
efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the course, and     14
he has received respect and admiration from all who know him; and         15
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future     16
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and     17
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has      18
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the      19
Fairfield Union High School boys cross country team have gained           20
discipline and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of         21
their lives; therefore be it                                              22
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the         24

As Introduced
Fairfield Union High School boys cross country team as the 2024              25
Division II State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the        26
success of this fine squad; and be it further                                27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                  28
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Fairfield Union High            29
School boys cross country team.                                              30
