A RESOLUTION
Honoring Mount Zion Baptist Church on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Mount Zion Baptist Church on its 2
One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated October 20, 2024; and 3
WHEREAS, Since its inception, Mount Zion Baptist Church has 4
offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life by 5
illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the Baptist 6
Church was founded. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that 7
exists within the church also extends beyond those sacred walls to 8
touch the lives of everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and 9
WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past 10
and present, Mount Zion Baptist Church has experienced continual 11
growth and has provided a source of moral guidance and spiritual 12
motivation for its congregation. Over the years, the church has 13
enhanced the quality of life within the Lorain area, and through its 14
generous efforts, it has earned the gratitude and respect of the many 15
citizens it has so capably served; and 16
WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that 17
represents dedication and commitment. For a century, the members of 18
Mount Zion Baptist Church have kept their faith alive in the 19
community, and on this special anniversary, they have accepted the 20
challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 22
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Mount Zion 23
Baptist Church on its One Hundredth Anniversary and pay tribute to all 24
those joining in the celebration of this joyous event; and be it 25

authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mount Zion Baptist Church. 28
