A RESOLUTION
Honoring St. George Serbian Orthodox Church on the
memorable occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate St. George Serbian Orthodox Church 2
on its Centennial; and 3
WHEREAS, For the past one hundred years, St. George Serbian 4
Orthodox Church has served as a tremendous source of spiritual 5
inspiration, and it has encouraged countless individuals to pursue 6
lives of worship, service, learning, and fellowship. The impact this 7
fine institution has had on the Lorain community is impossible to 8
quantify, and its contributions to society are truly outstanding; and 9
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion offers the members of St. George 10
Serbian Orthodox Church the opportunity to share their memories and to 11
reflect on the benefits of life in their close-knit community. The 12
parishioners can be proud that their remarkable example has ensured 13
that the best traditions of the past will shape a future of 14
benevolence and prosperity; and 15
WHEREAS, St. George Serbian Orthodox Church has stood strong in 16
the face of challenges and has made a positive impact on both the 17
community and the world. This important milestone reflects what can be 18
accomplished by those who project their values and devotion through 19
their faith, and we look with optimism as the church upholds its rich 20
legacy in the years to come; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 22
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud St. George 23
Serbian Orthodox Church on its Centennial and salute all those who 24
have contributed to the longevity of this House of God; and be it 25
