A RESOLUTION
In memory of Roy L. Keeran.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio were saddened to learn of the passing of Roy L. Keeran and 2
extend our most heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends 3
on this sorrowful occasion; and 4
WHEREAS, Roy Keeran will be remembered as a fine Ohioan and will 5
be eternally memorialized as the patriarch of his family. He lived a 6
rich life, and among his endeavors, he was known and respected as a 7
veteran of the U.S. Army and a valued employee of the Howard Paper 8
Mill, where he was a consummate professional for forty-nine years; and 9
WHEREAS, Roy Keeran flourished in the circle of his family, and he 10
was deeply loved by those who knew him best. A man of exceptional 11
talent and generosity, he found great fulfilment in his various roles 12
as a husband to his wife of sixty-eight years, Zelda, as a father to 13
his children, Roy, Jennie, Peter, Stephen, Vincent, and the late 14
Timothy, as a grandfather to his grandchildren, Joshua, Jamie, 15
Lindsay, Amanda, Bradley, and Lindsay, and his great-grandchildren, 16
Hudson, Patrick, Thackery, Aria, and Harper, and as a brother, uncle, 17
and friend; and 18
WHEREAS, By extending the warmth of his personality to others and 19
sharing his abounding compassion with the people who cherished him 20
most, Roy Keeran certainly made the world a better place. Indeed, his 21

concern for improving our society was unmistakable, and during this 22
time when his absence will be keenly felt, we pay tribute to his 23
estimable legacy of integrity, dependability, and sincerity; therefore 24
be it 25
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the life of a 27
truly honorable man, Roy L. Keeran, and hope that the love you feel 28
for him will be a continuing source of strength; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Roy L. Keeran. 31
