                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Hunter Armstrong as a 2024 Olympic Gold Medalist.   1
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    2
of Ohio are pleased to applaud Hunter Armstrong on securing a gold       3
medal in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay swimming event at the 2024      4
Olympic Summer Games in Paris, France; and                               5
     WHEREAS, Hunter Armstrong is deserving of this prestigious honor,   6
a tribute to the remarkable athletic gifts and indomitable spirit that   7
he has so amply displayed as a participant in the 2024 Paris Olympics.   8
A tenacious competitor, he could always be counted on to shine, and      9
together with his teammates, Jack Alexy, Chris Guiliano, and Caeleb      10
Dressel, he won the gold medal in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay        11
event with an impressive time of 3:09.28; and                            12
     WHEREAS, By developing such remarkable prowess, Hunter Armstrong    13
has earned the respect and appreciation of his fellow athletes as well   14
as the devotion and support of the many fans who have followed his       15
career. His outstanding record of achievement stands as a hallmark       16
worthy of emulation, and he has inspired countless individuals to        17
excel in numerous areas of endeavor; and                                 18
     WHEREAS, Swimming is an event which requires exceptional stamina    19
and natural ability, and Hunter Armstrong is to be commended for his     20
commitment to this demanding activity. A two-time Olympic gold-          21
medalist, he has distinguished himself as one of the most illustrious    22
and talented figures in the history of the sport, and his influence on   23
the world of athletics is worthy of widespread recognition; therefore    24

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Hunter     27

As Introduced
Armstrong on his tremendous success at the 2024 Olympic Games and            28
extend best wishes in all his future endeavors; and be it further            29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                  30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hunter Armstrong.                   31
