A RESOLUTION
In memory of Barbara C. Pringle.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Barbara C. 2
Pringle and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and 3
friends; and 4
WHEREAS, Barbara Pringle left an indelible impression on the 5
people whose lives she touched, and she will be remembered as a 6
spirited individual who contributed immeasurably to the world around 7
her. Widely renowned for her prolific career in public service, she 8
served as a member of the Cleveland City Council before being elected 9
to the Ohio House of Representatives, where she held office for 10
eighteen years, and she will be remembered for her generosity, 11
talents, and seemingly inexhaustible energy; and 12
WHEREAS, Barbara Pringle’s regard for improving the quality of 13
life in our society was clearly evident in her personal sacrifices of 14
time and effort to family, friends, and community. Giving generously 15
of her energy and abilities in all of her endeavors, she displayed 16
exceptional concern and insight, and her absence will be keenly felt; 17
and 18
WHEREAS, A loving wife to her husband, Darrell, a devoted mother 19
to her children, Rhonda and the late Christopher, and a doting 20
grandmother to her grandchildren, Christopher, Leah, and Christina, 21

and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Gavin, and Claire, Barbara 22
Pringle always used her talents to the benefit of others, and the 23
warmth and understanding which she readily extended to those around 24
her will stand as a testament to her personal character. Although the 25
void which her death has created can never be filled, the legacy of 26
care and commitment which she established will surely live on; 27
therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 29
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, express a profound 30
sense of loss and sincere regret at the death of Barbara C. Pringle 31
and, in so doing, pay tribute to the memory of a truly unique 32
individual; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 34
authenticated copy of this Resolution to family of Barbara C. Pringle. 35
