                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Daneé Pinckney on being selected as the 2025 SBOE
              Teacher of the Year.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Daneé Pinckney as    2
the 2025 Ohio State Board of Education Teacher of the Year; and           3
     WHEREAS, Motivated by a deep concern for our youth, Daneé Pinckney   4
has brought insight, expertise, and ability to the important task of      5
guiding young minds. An English teacher at Twinsburg High School, she     6
has instilled within her students an appreciation of the importance of    7
education that will benefit them throughout their lives; and              8
     WHEREAS, A skillful and patient instructor, Daneé Pinckney has       9
encouraged many young people to fully develop their knowledge and         10
interests. She is also the recipient of such accolades as the 2023        11
Twinsburg City Schools Teacher of the Year and a Fund for Teachers        12
Fellow, as well as being named a Martha Holden Jennings Foundation        13
Master Teacher Finalist, and understandably, her spirited intellect       14
and painstaking approach to her work have won her a host of admirers;     15
and                                                                       16
     WHEREAS, Over the years, Daneé Pinckney has not only taught many     17
pupils, but she has also established a solid foundation for succeeding    18
generations. Her unstinting contributions and inspirational efforts       19
have gained her the appreciation and admiration of everyone with whom     20
she has been associated, and her career stands as a hallmark worthy of    21
emulation; therefore be it                                                22
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Daneé       24
Pinckney on her statewide distinction and look forward to her future      25

endeavors as a stalwart Ohio educator; and be it further               26
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly            27
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Daneé Pinckney.               28
