                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring First United Methodist Church of Crestline on its
              One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate First United Methodist Church of     2
Crestline as it celebrates its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary,     3
September 15, 2024; and                                                  4
     WHEREAS, Since its inception, First United Methodist Church of      5
Crestline has offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful       6
life by illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the         7
church was founded. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that     8
exists within the church edifice also extends beyond those sacred        9
walls to touch the lives of everyone encountered by these devout         10
disciples; and                                                           11
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past     12
and present, First United Methodist Church of Crestline has              13
experienced continual growth and has provided a source of moral          14
guidance and spiritual motivation for its congregation. Over the         15
years, the church has enhanced the quality of life within the            16
surrounding area, and through its generous efforts, it has earned the    17
gratitude and respect of the many citizens it has so capably served;     18
and                                                                      19
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that    20
represents dedication and commitment. For a century and a half, the      21
members of First United Methodist Church of Crestline have kept their    22
faith alive in the community, and on this special anniversary, they      23
have accepted the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future;   24

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend First United        27
Methodist Church of Crestline on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth              28
Anniversary and pay tribute to all those joining in the celebration of     29
this joyous event; and be it further                                       30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to First United Methodist Church     32
of Crestline.                                                              33
