A RESOLUTION
Honoring ProMedica Toledo Hospital on its
Sesquicentennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate ProMedica Toledo Hospital on its 2
One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary; and 3
WHEREAS, ProMedica Toledo Hospital is deserving of high praise, 4
for since its inception, this fine facility has attained a remarkable 5
record of service to the area. Founded by the Women’s Christian 6
Association in a modest wooden house in 1874, the hospital has grown 7
and relocated several times before settling in its current location, 8
now the largest building in Toledo. Acquired by ProMedica in 1986, 9
this level 1 trauma center provides emergency care and a wealth of 10
treatment services for its patients, and it has received numerous 11
honors and awards. As it upholds its mission, it will continue to 12
inspire the trust, confidence, and admiration for which it has become 13
known; and 14
WHEREAS, The success of ProMedica Toledo Hospital is a justifiable 15
source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the 16
organization itself but also on its astute management and hard-working 17
employees. Due to their vision and initiative, this respected 18
institution has gained the gratitude and appreciation of many 19
satisfied patients and their families, and it is truly worthy of 20
acknowledgement; and 21
WHEREAS, Over the years, ProMedica Toledo Hospital has striven to 22
improve the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are 23
certain that as this notable enterprise maintains its unfaltering 24
dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to grow and 25
prosper; therefore be it 26

As Introduced
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend ProMedica 28
Toledo Hospital on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and salute it 29
as a leader in Ohio’s healthcare industry; and be it further 30
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to ProMedica Toledo Hospital. 32
