                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Jesse Scott as a 2024 Scholastic Clay Target
              Program National Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Jesse Scott on      2
placing first in the men’s senior/varsity competition at the 2024        3
Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championships; and               4
     WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Jesse Scott   5
has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his     6
mental and physical fortitude. As a winner at this year’s Scholastic     7
Clay Target Program National Championships in the men’s senior/varsity   8
competition with a score of 200, he has exemplified all of the           9
characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of        10
competition, including discipline, determination, and an innate sense    11
of the principles of good sportsmanship; and                             12
     WHEREAS, A standout member of the Lorain County Youth Trap team,    13
Jesse Scott has conscientiously applied himself to the quest for         14
excellence as a shooter, training and practicing diligently in order     15
to ensure peak performance. Time and again, he has risen to the          16
occasion, maintaining his composure as an adept marksman, and he has     17
gained the respect of even his most determined competitors; and          18
     WHEREAS, Trap shooting is an event that requires exceptional        19
resolve and honed ability, and Jesse Scott is to be commended for his    20
commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his goals, he has    21
consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks    22
of a true champion; therefore be it                                      23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Jesse        25

Scott on his outstanding showing at the 2024 Scholastic Clay Target        26
Program Nationals and offer best wishes for continued success; and be      27
it further                                                                 28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jesse Scott.                      30
