                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring First Church of God on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to First Church of      2
God on the hallowed occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary,            3
celebrated October 6, 2024; and                                           4
     WHEREAS, Since its founding in 1924, First Church of God has         5
offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life by              6
illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the church was       7
established. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that exists      8
among the parishioners not only prevails within the church edifice        9
itself but also extends beyond those sacred walls to touch the lives      10
of everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and                    11
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastor, Chris Keeton,   12
and his predecessors, First Church of God has experienced continual       13
growth and has provided a source of moral guidance and spiritual          14
motivation for each of its members. Indeed, the church has enhanced       15
the quality of life within the New Boston area, and through its           16
generous efforts, it has earned the gratitude and respect of the many     17
citizens it has so capably served; and                                    18
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that     19
represents dedication, commitment, and enduring faith. For one hundred    20
years, the members of First Church of God have kept their faith alive     21
in the community, and on this special anniversary, they have accepted     22
the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future; therefore be     23

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    25
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate First         26

As Introduced
Church of God on its One Hundredth Anniversary and pay tribute to all      27
those joining in the celebration of this joyous event; and be it           28
further                                                                    29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to First Church of God.              31
