                       A RESOLUTION
        Honoring Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church
                          on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to    2
Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church on its One Hundredth       3
Anniversary, celebrated September 13-15, 2024; and                       4
     WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1924, Sts. Peter and Paul           5
Ukrainian Orthodox Church has offered its members the pathway to a       6
more meaningful life by illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on   7
which the church was founded. Completing its first building in 1925,     8
the church replaced it with a traditional Ukrainian structure that was   9
dedicated in 1946, and it has since added a pavilion, a rectory, and     10
an orthodox center. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that     11
exists within the church also extends beyond those sacred walls to       12
touch the lives of everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and   13
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past     14
and present, Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church has           15
experienced continual growth and has provided a source of moral          16
guidance and spiritual motivation for its congregation. Over the         17
years, the church has enhanced the quality of life within the area,      18
and through its generous efforts, it has earned the gratitude and        19
respect of the many citizens it has so capably served; and               20
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that    21
represents dedication and commitment. For a century, the members of      22
Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church have kept their faith      23
alive in the Youngstown community, and on this special anniversary,      24
they have accepted the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the      25
future; therefore be it                                                  26

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           28
commend Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church on its One           29
Hundredth Anniversary and pay tribute to all those joining in the          30
celebration of this joyous event; and be it further                        31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sts. Peter and Paul        33
Ukrainian Orthodox Church.                                                 34
