A RESOLUTION
Honoring Plymouth Methodist Church on its One Hundred
Fiftieth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Plymouth Methodist Church on the 2
Sesquicentennial of its founding; and 3
WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1874, Plymouth Methodist Church 4
has offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life by 5
illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the church was 6
founded. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that exists 7
within the church edifice also extends beyond those sacred walls to 8
touch the lives of everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and 9
WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past 10
and present, Plymouth Methodist Church has experienced continual 11
growth and has provided a source of moral guidance and spiritual 12
motivation for its congregation. Over the years, the church has 13
enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and through 14
its generous efforts, it has earned the gratitude and respect of the 15
many citizens it has so capably served; and 16
WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is worthy of acknowledgement. 17
For a century and a half, the members of Plymouth Methodist Church 18
have actively maintained their faith, and on this special anniversary, 19
they have accepted the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the 20
future; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 22
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Plymouth 23
Methodist Church on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and pay 24
tribute to all those joining in the celebration of this joyous event; 25

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 27
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Plymouth Methodist Church. 28
