A RESOLUTION
Honoring the St. Francis DeSales High School boys lacrosse
team as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud the St. Francis DeSales High School 2
boys lacrosse team on securing the 2024 Division II State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The St. Francis DeSales High School boys lacrosse team is 5
made up of remarkable athletes who have worked diligently to showcase 6
the collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year’s 7
Division II State Tournament, the Stallions won the state crown with a 8
score of 15-4, and the members amply demonstrated impressive 9
determination, maturity, and finesse in pursuit of this achievement; 10
and 11
WHEREAS, This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young 12
individuals, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience 13
that is sure to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless 14
efforts of an exceptional St. Francis DeSales High School boys 15
lacrosse team coaching staff, including Head Coach Matt Triplet, as 16
well as the support of their Stallion community, these athletes have 17
met the demands of an extensive training regimen, and they have just 18
cause for celebration; and 19
WHEREAS, All those who comprise the St. Francis DeSales High 20
School boys lacrosse team have set an excellent example of what a 21
dedicated group of athletes can achieve when guided by a committed 22
coaching staff and surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and 23
boosters. These young competitors have certainly proven themselves to 24
be dynamic athletic leaders, and we are confident that as they meet 25
future challenges, they will take with them the valuable lessons they 26

have gained through their participation in lacrosse; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the St. 29
Francis DeSales High School boys lacrosse team on its 2024 Division II 30
State Championship title and count its members and coaches among the 31
ranks of outstanding Ohioans; and be it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Francis DeSales High 34
School boys lacrosse team. 35
