                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Grandview Heights Fire Department on its
              Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Grandview Heights Fire         2
Department on the occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and         3
     WHEREAS, A cohesive group of committed and motivated firefighters   4
and paramedics, the Grandview Heights Fire Department has been a vital   5
instrument for safety in the cityover the past century. The members of   6
the agency are deserving of the highest praise for their expertise and   7
commitment, as well as for the invaluable contributions they have made   8
to their profession, and we applaud them on their exemplary efforts;     9
and                                                                      10
     WHEREAS, Demonstrating a sincere concern for the future of the      11
area, the staff and officers of the Grandview Heights Fire Department,   12
both past and present, have given back to the municipality far more      13
than they have gleaned, and their selfless endeavors stand as the        14
hallmark of responsible citizenship. They can rest assured that they     15
have set an example of humanitarian service worthy of emulation; and     16
     WHEREAS, Countless citizens in the community owe their safety, and 17
some their very lives, to the members of the Grandview Heights Fire     18
Department, who have displayed outstanding courage, initiative, and an 19
unwavering dedication to excellence while performing their duties.      20
Indeed, their professional ethics, positive work attitude, and          21
cooperation with the public have gained them the appreciation and       22
esteem of many; therefore be it                                         23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Grandview     25

As Introduced
Heights Fire Department on its One Hundredth Anniversary and salute        26
its members as some of Ohio’s finest public servants; and be it            27
further                                                                    28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Grandview Heights Fire        30
Department.                                                                31
