A RESOLUTION
In memory of Jacob J. Derbin.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend our heartfelt 2
condolences to the family and friends of Jacob J. Derbin in their 3
bereavement; and 4
WHEREAS, Jacob Derbin’s zealous love of life and his selfless 5
concern for the well-being of others distinguished him as an 6
outstanding human being and as a leading citizen. A veteran of the 7
U.S. Army National Guard and a member of the Euclid Police Department, 8
he was a dedicated and devoted public servant whose exemplary efforts 9
serve as an inspiration for many; and 10
WHEREAS, Jacob Derbin was a man of tremendous concern and 11
commitment, and he achieved a praiseworthy record of excellence in all 12
of his endeavors. Indeed, he worked diligently to better the quality 13
of life in our society, and his untiring efforts gained him the 14
appreciation and esteem of everyone around him; and 15
WHEREAS, Jacob Derbin will long be remembered for his kindness and 16
his unwavering commitment to service. Though the void his death has 17
created can never be filled, the warmth and understanding he so 18
readily extended to others will stand as a testament to his personal 19
character, and he will be remembered fondly by all those who knew and 20
loved him, including his fiancée, Liv, his parents, Dawn Marie and 21
Vince, and his siblings, Dominic, Francesca, Toran, and Gavin; 22
therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, offer 25

our profound sympathies over the loss of Jacob J. Derbin; and be it 26
further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Jacob J. 29
Derbin. 30
