                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Lexi Tucci on winning the 2024 Division III State
              Track and Field Championship in the high jump.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Lexi Tucci as a 2024 Division III    2
State Track and Field Champion; and                                      3
     WHEREAS, A member of the Sandy Valley High School track and field   4
team, Lexi Tucci has combined talent and competitive spirit with the     5
highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly     6
exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked     7
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field,     8
and as a result, she won this year’s Division III State Championship     9
title in the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 6 inches and placed second    10
in the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 7.75 inches; and                11
     WHEREAS, Lexi Tucci’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and   12
out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine         13
reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her    14
coach, Jason Calkins, her school, and her community. Her unwavering      15
commitment to excellence has earned her these well-deserved honors as    16
well as the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of   17
high praise; and                                                         18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay      20
tribute to Lexi Tucci on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same           21
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in      22
track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the    23
future; therefore be it                                                  24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    25
S. R. No. 388                                                     Page 2
As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Lexi Tucci on       26
her remarkable season and extend best wishes for continued success;        27
and be it further                                                          28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Lexi Tucci.                       30
