A RESOLUTION
Honoring North High School on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate North High School on the 2
auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated June 3
29, 2024; and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 5
tribute to North High School, for since it opened in 1924, it has 6
played an instrumental role in the success of the Columbus City School 7
District. Over the years, this local institution has changed and 8
updated its facilities to better meet the needs of the grades housed 9
within it, and with an unwavering commitment to educational 10
excellence, it has earned the gratitude and respect of students, 11
parents, and the community alike; and 12
WHEREAS, We are certain that in the years to come, the instructors 13
and administrators of North High School will maintain their 14
unfaltering dedication to helping students become capable, well- 15
rounded individuals. As they take part in this celebration, the 16
school’s students, staff, and alumni can be justly proud of this fine 17
institution; and 18
WHEREAS, Education is vital to our nation’s continued economic and 19
social well-being, and as the need for global learning and 20
understanding increases, so do the demands placed upon our system of 21
education. North High School has consistently and effectively met 22
these challenges, and it is truly deserving of high praise; therefore 23
be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 25
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend North High 26

As Introduced
School on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for 27
ongoing success; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to North High School. 30
