                       A RESOLUTION
                   Honoring the City of Wheelersburg
                         on its Bicentennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the City of            2
Wheelersburg on the jubilant occasion of its Two Hundredth               3
Anniversary, celebrated August 3, 2024; and                              4
     WHEREAS, Since the inception of Wheelersburg two centuries ago,     5
its residents have experienced dramatic growth and change, and yet,      6
commendably, even as they have embraced the promise of a bright          7
future, they have never relinquished their appreciation for the          8
worthiest virtues of the past. Without sacrificing their sense of        9
tradition in the name of progress, the people of Wheelersburg have       10
managed to nurture a fresh perspective and a positive outlook that       11
endear this distinctive place to all who know it well; and               12
     WHEREAS, Two hundred years after it was founded, the City of        13
Wheelersburg still radiates vitality, optimism, and a charm all its      14
own, and this auspicious milestone provides an opportunity to reflect    15
on the unique history and tremendous achievements of this remarkable     16
community. Clearly, it is a place of many engaging qualities, and its    17
schools, businesses, and civic organizations embody and thrive upon      18
the values of which our flag is an emblem; and                           19
     WHEREAS, Every state depends upon such vibrant, durable             20
communities as Wheelersburg for its own survival and stability. In the   21
years to come, the city is sure to remain on its admirable course,       22
continuously transforming challenges into opportunities, and we look     23
forward with great anticipation to what the future will bring;           24

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of   the House of Representatives of     26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in   adopting this Resolution, pay       27
tribute to the City of Wheelersburg as   it commemorates its                 28
Bicentennial and offer our best wishes   for its perennial good fortune;     29
and be it further                                                            30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit       31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of                  32
Wheelersburg.                                                                33
