                       A RESOLUTION
                Honoring Unione E Fratellanza Oratinese
                   on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to     2
Unione E Fratellanza Oratinese on the commemoration of its Centennial,    3
August 24, 2024; and                                                      4
     WHEREAS, One hundred years is a distinctive milestone on which       5
Unione E Fratellanza Oratinese can enthusiastically celebrate its         6
mission to enrich its members and its community with philanthropic,       7
educational, cultural, civic, and social activities. This iconic club     8
was created by a group of male citizens of Oratino, Italy, who            9
immigrated to Cleveland, and it has persevered by remaining a relevant    10
part of the community; and                                                11
     WHEREAS, One of many reasons that the State of Ohio continues to     12
grow and prosper is because of such groups as Unione E Fratellanza        13
Oratinese. Among its notable endeavors, the club facilitated the          14
placement of the first bilingual Ohio Historical Marker in 2023 to        15
honor the men from Oratino who comprised nineteen of the twenty           16
craftsmen who sculpted the prominent Guardian Statues on each end of      17
the Hope Memorial Bridge; and                                             18
     WHEREAS, The members of Unione E Fratellanza Oratinese can always    19
be relied upon to favor a worthy cause, and these exceptional people      20
have made a lasting impact on the community through their admirable       21
resolve and vision. We look with optimism to a society that will          22
thrive as a result of its ongoing success; therefore be it                23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          25

applaud Unione E Fratellanza Oratinese on its One Hundredth                26
Anniversary and salute its leadership and members as fine Ohioans; and     27
be it further                                                              28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to President Anthony          30
Pinto and the distinguished membership of Unione E Fratellanza             31
Oratinese.                                                                 32
