                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Canfield High School softball team
                as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Canfield High    2
School softball team on winning the 2024 Division II State                3
Championship; and                                                         4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the    5
Canfield High School softball team have combined talent and spirit        6
with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves     7
as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the          8
Cardinals have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency    9
in softball, and as a result, they defeated a tough Bryan team by the     10
score of 4-0 to win this year’s Division II State Championship, their     11
second such title in program history, and finished the season with an     12
impressive 27-3 record; and                                               13
     WHEREAS, The Cardinals’ achievements and leadership are a            14
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the            15
players, their families, their school, their community, and their         16
coach. Throughout the season, each player has not only developed their    17
talents to the fullest but also learned valuable lessons about            18
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and                         19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    20
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay       21
tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for a     22
job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have          23
gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in     24
meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it                     25

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           27
commend the Canfield High School softball team on its tremendous           28
season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio’s finest           29
citizens; and be it further                                                30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Canfield High          32
School softball team.                                                      33
