                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the London Correctional Institution on its One
              Hundredth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the London Correctional              2
Institution on its Centennial; and                                       3
     WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting     4
tribute to the London Correctional Institution, for it has attained a    5
remarkable record of service. As Ohio’s prisons have refocused from      6
punishment to rehabilitation, this facility has striven to reduce        7
repeat criminal offending through advocacy and professional              8
development, and it is to be applauded on its accomplishments; and       9
     WHEREAS, The astute management and hard-working employees of the    10
London Correctional Institution have expended countless hours and        11
seemingly inexhaustible energy towards effectively supervising those     12
under its charge in an environment that is safe, humane, and secure,     13
and their tremendous efforts stand as the model of responsible           14
citizenship. It is through the unsurpassed efforts and consistent        15
support of individuals such as these that our state is setting an        16
example for others to follow; and                                        17
     WHEREAS, The London Correctional Institution has become an          18
exemplary center for rehabilitation and has earned the gratitude and     19
respect of many Ohioans. Time and again, this worthy establishment has   20
proven its commitment to helping offenders rebuild their lives, and we   21
are certain that in the years to come, it will continue in the           22
tradition of excellence that has become its hallmark; therefore be it    23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the London        25

As Introduced
Correctional Institution on the occasion of its Centennial and offer        26
best wishes for the future; and be it further                               27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                 28
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the London Correctional            29
Institution.                                                                30
