A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Harbor-Topky Memorial Library
on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Harbor-Topky 2
Memorial Library as it commemorates its One Hundredth Anniversary; and 3
WHEREAS, This is, indeed, an important occasion, and 4
congratulations are certainly in order. Established in 1924, the 5
Harbor-Topky Memorial Library has experienced tremendous growth and 6
prosperity over the past ten decades, and it has expanded its 7
collection so as to best serve the Ashtabula County community; and 8
WHEREAS, The Harbor-Topky Memorial Library has become one of the 9
area’s most vibrant and venerable public institutions. Thanks to the 10
generous efforts of a host of local citizens, it remains an 11
outstanding resource for its patrons as well as an exciting hub of 12
language and learning that connects people through a variety of 13
programming; and 14
WHEREAS, Those who have nurtured, directed, and sustained the 15
Harbor-Topky Memorial Library merit praise for their remarkable 16
initiative, diligence, and resolve. With a wealth of vision and 17
vitality, they have shown how very much can be accomplished by a group 18
of conscientious, industrious people, and they can be proud that their 19
unflagging commitment to literacy, education, and volunteer service 20
has made it possible for the library to flourish; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 22
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 23
applaud the Harbor-Topky Memorial Library on its One Hundredth 24
Anniversary and look with optimism to a bright future; and be it 25

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 27
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Harbor-Topky 28
Memorial Library. 29
