A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Olentangy Liberty High School boys lacrosse
team on securing the 2024 Division I State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to salute the Olentangy Liberty High School boys 2
lacrosse team as the 2024 Division I State Champion; and 3
WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the 4
Olentangy Liberty High School boys lacrosse team is an impressive 5
group of athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At the 2024 6
Division I State Championship final, the squad bested St. Xavier to 7
win the first championship in program history, and this victory will 8
be celebrated for many years to come; and 9
WHEREAS, The members of the Olentangy Liberty High School boys 10
lacrosse team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a 11
dynamic force in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes 12
can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved 13
throughout the season; and 14
WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of 15
sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Olentangy Liberty High 16
School boys lacrosse team primed themselves under the guidance of 17
Coach Jason Godwin to secure this year’s state crown. Indeed, the 18
Patriots have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and 19
dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it 20
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 21
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Olentangy 22
Liberty High School boys lacrosse team on its success and honor the 23
athletes and coaches for their tremendous prowess; and be it further 24
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 25
