A RESOLUTION
Honoring Glockner Chevrolet on its One Hundred Tenth
Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Glockner Chevrolet on the 2
auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Tenth Anniversary; and 3
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 4
tribute to Glockner Chevrolet, for throughout the past one hundred ten 5
years, this fine venture has attained a remarkable record of service 6
to its industry. Founded in 1914 by Alexander Glockner as an extension 7
of the family hardware store, the dealership is the oldest 8
continuously owned and operated Chevrolet franchise in the world, and 9
it is now part of the Glockner Family of Dealerships, which sells ten 10
brands of vehicles at seven locations. It is truly worthy of 11
acknowledgement; and 12
WHEREAS, The success of Glockner Chevrolet is a justifiable source 13
of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the business itself 14
but also on the astute management of the Glockner family and on its 15
hard-working employees. Due to their tremendous vision and initiative, 16
they have helped this respected enterprise earn the gratitude and 17
appreciation of many satisfied customers, and they are deserving of 18
high praise; and 19
WHEREAS, Over the past eleven decades, Glockner Chevrolet has 20
enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are 21
certain that as this notable establishment maintains its unfaltering 22
dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to grow and 23
prosper and will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been 24
its hallmark; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Glockner 27
Chevrolet on its One Hundred Tenth Anniversary and extend best wishes 28
for the future; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Glockner Chevrolet. 31
