A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Sigma Omega 2
Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated on the auspicious 3
occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Chartered in 1924, the Sigma Omega Chapter was the 5
twenty-second graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, 6
Incorporated, and over the years, its members have directed themselves 7
toward meaningful involvement in numerous beneficial programs and 8
activities and have distinguished themselves as dynamic community 9
leaders. Indeed, they have earned the respect and admiration of many 10
and have set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship 11
worthy of emulation; and 12
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a 13
fitting tribute to the Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha 14
Sorority, Incorporated, for throughout the past century, it has 15
achieved a praiseworthy record of service to the Greater Cincinnati 16
area. The chapter’s accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride 17
and an excellent reflection not only on the organization itself but 18
also on its members, both past and present, and on the community; and 19
WHEREAS, The Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, 20
Incorporated has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding 21
area, and its generous contributions have gained it the gratitude and 22
esteem of many. We are certain that this fine endeavor will continue 23
to build upon its foundation of excellence for many years to come; 24
therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
recognize the Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, 28
Incorporated on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes 29
for the future; and be it further 30
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Sigma Omega 32
Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. 33
