                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Ashland High School boys bowling team on
              winning the 2024 U.S. High School Bowling National
              Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Ashland High School boys bowling    2
team as the 2024 U.S. High School Bowling National Champion; and         3
     WHEREAS, The members of the Ashland High School boys bowling team   4
are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly       5
exceptional competitors. At this year’s U.S. High School Bowling         6
National Championship, the Arrows defeated the squad from Centerville    7
High School by the score of 603-577 to secure the title, and the         8
unwavering commitment of these bowlers and their coaches has earned      9
them the esteem of many. They are certainly deserving of high praise;    10

     WHEREAS, Coach Jim Brown has demonstrated remarkable energy,        12
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Ashland High School boys       13
bowling team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad’s       14
outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the    15
members have distinguished themselves among a diverse field of           16
opponents, and he has received respect and admiration from all who       17
know him; and                                                            18
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future    19
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and    20
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has     21
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the     22
Ashland High School boys bowling team have gained discipline and         23
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;          24

therefore be it                                                            25
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the          27
Ashland High School boys bowling team as the 2024 U.S. High School         28
Bowling National Champion and honor all those who contributed to the       29
success of this fine squad; and be it further                              30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ashland High School boys      32
bowling team.                                                              33
