A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Kiwanis Club of Barberton on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Kiwanis Club of Barberton on 2
its One Hundredth Anniversary; and 3
WHEREAS, One hundred years is a distinctive milestone, and it 4
affords the opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable philanthropic 5
work done by the Kiwanis Club of Barberton. An outstanding affiliate 6
of Kiwanis International, the organization has a long and 7
distinguished history of civic service in the area, and it has 8
positively impacted the community through its innumerable projects; 9
and 10
WHEREAS, Due to the tremendous effort and initiative it has 11
displayed, the Kiwanis Club of Barberton has grown significantly since 12
earning its charter in 1924, and this noteworthy endeavor is certainly 13
deserving of high praise. This special anniversary offers a unique 14
opportunity to reflect on the group’s tradition of success and to look 15
with optimism to the future; and 16
WHEREAS, It is not surprising that the Kiwanis Club of Barberton 17
has achieved widespread recognition, for it has far surpassed the 18
expectations of its charter members, and it has unquestionably had a 19
tremendous impact on countless lives and the community as a whole. 20
Indeed, it exemplifies the essence of the American spirit and sets the 21
standard to which other such service clubs can aspire; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Kiwanis 24
Club of Barberton on its One Hundredth Anniversary and salute its 25
members as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further 26

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 27
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Kiwanis Club of 28
Barberton. 29
