A RESOLUTION
Honoring Sergeant Grant Blumenthal
on securing first place at the 2024 OHARNG Best Warrior Competition.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Sergeant Grant 2
Blumenthal on his exemplary efforts at the 2024 Ohio Army National 3
Guard Best Warrior Competition; and 4
WHEREAS, These prestigious distinctions are a fitting tribute to 5
Grant Blumenthal in recognition of the tremendous skill and 6
indomitable spirit that he has so amply displayed. Excelling in all 7
the demanding challenges in front of him, he placed first in this 8
year’s Ohio Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition and second in 9
the Non-Commissioned Officer category at the 2024 Region IV Best 10
Warrior Competition, and the strength, agility, stamina, and talent 11
that he has exhibited have earned him many admirers; and 12
WHEREAS, A member of the Ohio National Guard and its Headquarters 13
and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 148th Infantry Regiment, 37th 14
Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Grant Blumenthal has conscientiously 15
applied himself to the quest for achievement, and time and again, he 16
has risen to the occasion, maintaining estimable morale, composure, 17
and decorum. Truly, he has gained the respect of his family and his 18
peers, and in all of his endeavors, he has exhibited exemplary 19
patriotism, responsible citizenship, and exceptional bravery. 20
Undoubtedly, he is deserving of applause for continuing the United 21
States’ heritage of courage and leadership; and 22
WHEREAS, The heroic traditions of our armed forces are an 23
important part of our nation’s heritage, and Grant Blumenthal has 24
earned the respect and admiration of all those with whom he serves for 25
his steadfast training and determination to succeed. Indeed, he has 26

the satisfaction of knowing that he has established a record of 27
proficiency worthy of emulation; therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we 30
commend Sergeant Grant Blumenthal on his fantastic performance at the 31
Ohio Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition and look to his 32
future with great optimism; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sergeant Grant 35
Blumenthal. 36
