A RESOLUTION
Honoring Dr. David Keseg as the recipient of the Jack B.
Liberator Lifetime Achievement Award.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend Dr. David Keseg on being presented with 2
the Jack B. Liberator Lifetime Achievement Award, April 11, 2024; and 3
WHEREAS, Presented by the Ohio Chapter of the American College of 4
Emergency Physicians, the State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and 5
Transportation Services, and the Ohio Department of Public Safety 6
Division of Emergency Medical Services, the Jack B. Liberator Lifetime 7
Achievement Award recognizes an individual whose contributions to pre- 8
hospital emergency medical care have been consistent and long lasting, 9
and Dr. David Keseg is deserving of this prestigious honor. In his 10
role as medical director for the Columbus Division of Fire, a position 11
he held for thirty-two years, he distinguished himself as a pioneer in 12
the field of emergency medical services, and he has helped to 13
establish CFD as a leading innovator of EMS care among its 14
contemporaries across the state and rest of the nation; and 15
WHEREAS, Whenever confronted by a challenge, Dr. David Keseg has 16
met it with skill and resolve, performing his duties in a manner that 17
has always surpassed even the most demanding expectations. His 18
approach to a variety of formidable tasks has always been 19
distinguished by the utmost competence and dedication, and his 20
strength of character is reflected not only in his choice of 21
occupation but also in his decisive leadership. Indeed, he is truly 22
deserving of high praise; and 23
WHEREAS, This award is a justifiable source of pride and an 24
excellent reflection not only on Dr. David Keseg but also on his 25
family and his community. A truly exemplary clinician, educator, and 26

public servant, he has striven to fulfill his myriad goals in a 27
competent and responsible manner, and it is through the unceasing work 28
of people such as Dr. Keseg that Ohio has gained a reputation as a 29
state whose residents are responsive to the needs of their 30
communities; therefore be it 31
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 32
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Dr. David Keseg 33
on his recent accolade and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest 34
citizens; and be it further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 36
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. David Keseg. 37
