                       A RESOLUTION
           Honoring Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula on its One
              Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula   2
as it celebrates its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary, July 26,      3
2024; and                                                                4
     WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting     5
tribute to Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula, for throughout the past     6
one hundred twenty-five years, this fine organization has achieved a     7
remarkable record of service to the area. Founded as Seamen’s Bethel,    8
the venture has had an expansive history and undergone many name         9
changes as it prospered over the years, and its accomplishments are a    10
justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on    11
the nonprofit itself but also on its dedicated staff and volunteers;     12
and                                                                      13
     WHEREAS, Over the years, Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula has       14
enhanced the quality of life within Northeast Ohio and Northwest         15
Pennsylvania, and through its generous contributions, it has earned      16
the respect and gratitude of many by empowering individuals and          17
families through education, training, and employment opportunities. We   18
are certain that as this worthy organization maintains its dedication    19
to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has     20
been the hallmark of Goodwill since its establishment; and               21
     WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing      22
efforts of dynamic leaders who support organizations such as Goodwill    23
Industries of Ashtabula, including Chief Executive Officer Phil          24
Johnston, that these esteemed people have gained a reputation for        25
being responsive to the needs of their fellow Ohioans. Indeed, they      26

are truly deserving of high praise for ensuring that our state remains     27
a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it                28
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     29
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Goodwill            30
Industries of Ashtabula on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary        31
and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further              32
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Goodwill Industries of            34
Ashtabula.                                                                 35
