A RESOLUTION
Honoring the West Branch High School baseball team
as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the West Branch 2
High School baseball team on winning the 2024 Division II State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5
West Branch High School baseball team have established themselves as 6
truly exceptional competitors, and the Warriors have certainly 7
attained ultimate proficiency by combining talent and spirit with the 8
highest ideals of good sportsmanship. As a result, they defeated a 9
tough Badin team with a score of 3-2 to win this year’s Division II 10
State Championship, and this accomplishment not only was their first 11
such title for the program but also made school history for most wins 12
in a season, as the Warriors finished with an impressive 28-6 record; 13
and 14
WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the West Branch High 15
School baseball team are a justifiable source of pride and an 16
excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school 17
community, and their coaches. Indeed, in leading the team to victory, 18
the coaching staff has helped these athletes to develop great talent 19
by instilling the valuable lessons of determination, perseverance, and 20
camaraderie; and 21
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 22
in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay 23
tribute to the exemplary athletes and the outstanding coaches of the 24
West Branch High School baseball team for a job well done. The 25
maturity and experience the team members have gained through their 26

participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the 27
challenges of the future; therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
commend the West Branch High School baseball team on its tremendous 31
2024 season that culminated in the Division II State Championship and 32
salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and 33
be it further 34
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 35
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the West Branch High 36
School baseball team. 37
