A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Parma Fire Department
on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Parma Fire 2
Department on the One Hundredth Anniversary of its founding; and 3
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 4
tribute to the Parma Fire Department, for over the past one hundred 5
years, this fine agency has attained a praiseworthy record of service 6
to local residents and businesses. Indeed, the department’s 7
achievements are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent 8
reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its astute 9
leaders, on its hard-working members, and on the community it serves; 10
and 11
WHEREAS, While many people are content to take a passive role in 12
life, the members of the Parma Fire Department have risked their own 13
safety to ensure the well-being of their fellow citizens, and the 14
enthusiasm and devotion to duty they have shown in all of their 15
endeavors have earned them the gratitude and respect of all those they 16
have safeguarded. We are certain that as they maintain their 17
unwavering dedication to service, these individuals will continue in 18
the tradition of excellence that has long been the department’s 19
hallmark; and 20
WHEREAS, We are delighted to honor the many members of the Parma 21
Fire Department, both past and present, for they have proven 22
themselves to be conscientious, valiant Ohioans, and considering the 23
bravery, commitment, and self-sacrifice of these heroes, it is no 24
surprise that they inspire such trust and confidence. Without a doubt, 25
their noteworthy accomplishments demonstrate the potential of 26

individuals to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our 27
society; therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
congratulate the Parma Fire Department on the memorable occasion of 31
its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing 32
prosperity; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Parma Fire 35
Department. 36
