                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Grandview Heights Public Library on its
              Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Grandview Heights Public Library    2
as it commemorates its One Hundredth Anniversary; and                    3
     WHEREAS, This is, indeed, an important occasion, and                4
congratulations are certainly in order. Established in 1924, the         5
Grandview Heights Public Library has experienced tremendous growth and   6
prosperity over the past century, and it has tirelessly served as a      7
place for inspiration and discovery for innumerable people; and          8
     WHEREAS, The Grandview Heights Public Library has become one of     9
the community’s most important public resources by offering numerous     10
hardcover and digital collections, events, and a statewide network of    11
partnerships. Thanks to the generous efforts of a host of local          12
citizens, it remains an outstanding facility for its patrons as well     13
as an exciting hub of language and learning that connects people         14
through a variety of programming; and                                    15
     WHEREAS, Those who have nurtured, directed, and sustained the       16
Grandview Heights Public Library merit praise for their remarkable       17
initiative, diligence, and resolve. With a wealth of vision and          18
vitality, they have shown how very much can be accomplished by a group   19
of conscientious, industrious people, and they can be proud that their   20
unflagging commitment to literacy, education, and volunteer service      21
has made it possible for the library to flourish; therefore be it        22
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Grandview     24
Heights Public Library on its One Hundredth Anniversary and look with    25

optimism to a bright future; and be it further                             26
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                27
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Grandview Heights Public      28
