A RESOLUTION
Relative to the election of Tex Fischer to fill the
vacancy in the membership of the House of
Representatives created by the resignation of
Alessandro B. Cutrona of the 58th House District.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF
OHIO:
WHEREAS, Section 11 of Article II of the Ohio Constitution 1
provides for the filling of a vacancy in the membership of the House 2
of Representatives by election by the members of the House of 3
Representatives who are affiliated with the same political party as 4
the person last elected to the seat which has become vacant; and 5
WHEREAS, Alessandro B. Cutrona of the 58th House District, has 6
resigned as a member of the House of Representatives of the 135th 7
General Assembly effective upon the acknowledgment of the Speaker, 8
thus creating a vacancy in the House of Representatives; therefore be 9
it 10
RESOLVED, By the members of the House of Representatives who are 11
affiliated with the Republican party that Tex Fischer, Republican, 12
having the qualifications set forth in the Ohio Constitution and the 13
laws of Ohio to be a member of the House of Representatives from the 14
58th House District, is hereby elected, effective immediately, 15
pursuant to Section 11 of Article II of the Ohio Constitution, as a 16
member of the House of Representatives from the 58th House District, 17
to fill the vacancy created by the unexpired portion of the term of 18
said Alessandro B. Cutrona ending on December 31, 2024; and be it 19

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be spread upon the pages 21
of the Journal of the House of Representatives together with the yeas 22
and nays of the members of the House of Representatives affiliated 23
with the Republican party voting on the resolution, and that the Clerk 24
of the House of Representatives shall certify the resolution and vote 25
on its adoption to the Secretary of State. 26
