                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Landen Eyre as a 2024 Division III State Track
              and Field Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Landen Eyre on winning the 2024       2
Division III State Championship in the 3,200-meter run; and               3
     WHEREAS, A junior at Whiteoak High School, Landen Eyre has           4
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good    5
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young           6
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward       7
attaining ultimate proficiency in distance running, and as a result,      8
he placed first in the 3,200-meter run with a personal-record time of     9
9:10.07 and third in the 1,600-meter run with a personal-record time      10
of 4:14.86 at this year’s Division III State Track and Field Meet; and    11
     WHEREAS, Landen Eyre’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and   12
out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine          13
reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his     14
coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to      15
excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is       16
certainly worthy of high praise; and                                      17
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    18
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased      19
to pay tribute to Landen Eyre on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same    20
maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in        21
track and field will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the     22
future; therefore be it                                                   23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Landen Eyre as     25

the 2024 Division III State Track and Field Champion in the 3,200-            26
meter run and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it             27
further                                                                       28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                   29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Landen Eyre.                         30
