A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Willow Bend Country Club on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend the Willow Bend Country Club as it 2
celebrates the Centennial of its founding; and 3
WHEREAS, Since its establishment in 1924 by Gaylord E. Leslie, 4
L.E. Gleason, C.F. Kennedy, and C.M. Purmort, the Willow Bend Country 5
Club has experienced tremendous prosperity, and it remains one of the 6
few privately owned nine-hole courses still in operation in our state. 7
Indeed, this hidden gem has continually demonstrated its exemplary 8
commitment to the highest standards of quality, and its dedication to 9
the best interests of its members has been evident in all its 10
endeavors; and 11
WHEREAS, The noteworthy success of the Willow Bend Country Club is 12
attributable largely to the loyal service of its qualified and 13
committed staff as well as to the innovation and foresight of its 14
management. These combined efforts have not only upheld the endeavor’s 15
reputation for excellence but have also contributed greatly to the 16
well-being of the area; and 17
WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the diligence of 18
individuals such as all those associated with the Willow Bend Country 19
Club, who are willing to invest in their community, that the State of 20
Ohio remains a pleasant place in which to live and find leisure. We 21
applaud them for their outstanding efforts; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the 24
Willow Bend Country Club on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend 25
best wishes for the future; and be it further 26

authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Willow Bend Country Club. 28
