A RESOLUTION
Honoring Ohio District 7 Area Agency on Aging
on receiving a 2024 USAging Aging Achievement Award.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Ohio District 7 Area 2
Agency on Aging on being presented with a 2024 Aging Achievement Award 3
by USAging; and 4
WHEREAS, This is an important occasion, and it provides an ideal 5
time to acknowledge the exceptional work done by Ohio District 7 Area 6
Agency on Aging. Since 2020, the organization has partnered with the 7
Shawnee State University Occupational Therapy Program to offer virtual 8
education to the community through a social media livestream called, 9
“Fall-Free Fridays,” which educates the public on a variety of topics 10
for falls prevention. The agency expanded the program in 2021 to 11
include a second broadcast entitled, “Functional Fridays,” which 12
provides information about driver safety, stroke awareness, and how to 13
manage daily functioning. Indeed, AAA7’s impressive contributions to 14
the community readily explain why it is so widely held in high esteem; 15
and 16
WHEREAS, Founded on the highest ideals of professionalism, Ohio 17
District 7 Area Agency on Aging has distinguished itself by being 18
committed to excellence. Throughout its history, it has maintained a 19
reputation for integrity, reliability, and devotion to service, and 20
the important efforts of its administration and staff are deserving of 21
the highest praise; and 22
WHEREAS, Those who work for Ohio District 7 Area Agency on Aging 23
are among its most diligent and devoted ambassadors, and their 24
exuberance, generosity, and hard work demonstrate how very much can be 25
accomplished by a group of conscientious people who are united by a 26

sense of common purpose. Clearly, their vision and vitality have 27
enhanced many lives, and they merit praise for reminding us all of the 28
dramatic difference that initiative, integrity, and perseverance can 29
make in our society; therefore be it 30
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 31
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 32
congratulate Ohio District 7 Area Agency on Aging on its recent 33
accolade and salute its staff and volunteers as fine Ohio citizens; 34
and be it further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 36
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ohio District 7 Area 37
Agency on Aging. 38
