                       A RESOLUTION
                       In memory of Gus Frangos.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio were deeply saddened to learn of the death of   2
Gus Frangos and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and       3
friends; and                                                             4
     WHEREAS, Gus Frangos left an indelible impression on the people     5
whose lives he touched, and he will be remembered as a spirited          6
individual who contributed immeasurably to the world around him. Among   7
his endeavors, he was a member of the Cleveland City Council,            8
representing Ward 13, and a magistrate judge of the Cleveland            9
Municipal Court, and he was instrumental in drafting the legislation     10
that created Ohio’s county land banks and in founding the Cuyahoga       11
Land Bank, for which he served as president and general counsel; and     12
     WHEREAS, Gus Frangos’ regard for improving the quality of life in   13
our society was clearly evident in his personal sacrifices of time and   14
effort to his family, friends, and community. Giving generously of his   15
energy and abilities in all of his endeavors, he displayed exceptional   16
concern and insight, and his absence will be keenly felt; and            17
     WHEREAS, A loving husband to his wife, Christie, and a devoted      18
father, Gus Frangos always used his talents to the benefit of others,    19
and the laurels of his life stand as a tribute not only to him but       20
also to those he left behind. Although the void his death has created    21
can never be filled, the legacy of care and commitment he established    22
will surely live on. The world is a richer place for his having been     23
in it, and he will be sorely missed; therefore be it                     24
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of   25
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,         26

As Offered
express a profound sense of loss and sincere regret at the death of        27
Gus Frangos and, in so doing, pay tribute to the memory of a truly         28
unique man; and be it further                                              29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Gus          31
Frangos.                                                                   32
